Heya...

I've thought about this for the last couple of days and well... decided to make a post to hear other people's opinions... I've read lots of opinions on sites as tvline and such and most people think, now that Lexie is dead, Mark's story is told and he should die, too! An option Shonda left open...

It's not sure if he comes back at all, and in a recent Interview Shonda said, that she doesn't know who WILL be back next Season and if everyone on the plane crash will survive (everone of the "left 5"), so Arizona and Mark - who are obviously hurt worst - are still an option to die... but maybe she "just" tries to mess with us... and there are others that could still be gone by the start of next season as well... such as April and Avery... because most of the others with "options" to go are already confirmed to come back (such as Bailey, Richard, Derek, Cristina, Meredith and Alex), so the should COULD start without Avery, Kepner and maybe even Mark and/or Arizona...

The point is... I know there are LOTS of Mark/Lexie shippers... what would YOU want to happen to Mark? Should he die as well? And why? To be "reunited" with Lexie and have an end to their story, even if it's heartbreaking? (Okay, it already was when Lexie died, but... you get my point...)

I mean, I definitely see the point in saying "there is nothing left for him"... even though he has a family with Sofia and Callie (and Arizona), and I don't know how Shonda could ever "make that up" again by giving him a new love interest...

That was the "problem" Marc Cherry had with Desperate Housewives when he killed one of the husbands, and my guess is, that's the reason he NEVER showed how Susan was doing in the future, unlike ALL The others... we saw "fast forwards" of the other housewives but not of Susan, because he would have pissed off either the Susan/Mike fans by giving her a new man in her live, or the others by showing something like "You lost the love of your life, you can't be happy ever again, deal with it" and such...

And I think with Mark connected to Lexie THIS much... with them dancing around each other the whole time and this last speech about "meant to be" and having kids and getting married and such, I don't see how Mark can get over the loss of this so easy... (it's like Teddy said, something like "They told you it gets better, but it doesn't" and such)

The thing is: Mark is my very favourite character in the show, I don'T care much for Derek or Meredit or Cristina or such, but I love Mark and if he would die, I don't know if I would want to go on watching at all, but if he lives, it will be very painful for me to watch him suffer through maybe the whole Season...

And IF he survives, what do you think is gonna happen to him? What do you want to happen to him?
Some people said he might become a drunk (but we had this "theme" with Richard, so I don't know)... I think, he could "go back" to being the playboy he used to be after a while, like "drowning his pain" with Sex... but I don't know if that's still him, because he has grown so much in the past Seasons and he seems to be at a state now where he wants to have a real family, a real relationship...

I would LOVE to see a lot of hurt/comfort scenes between Avery and Mark (if Jesse comes back), since I think, Callie will be busy to be there for Arizona and Derek might be busy being there for his wife, but I don't know if Shonda will give me that... I want Mark and Jackson to get even closer and I want Shonda to show them "growing together" becaues they share a "similiar" kind of pain. I know itr's maybe not to compare, but Jackson DID love Lexie, and it must be a shock for him to find out she's dead as well, and I think, those 2 men MIGHT be able to spend each other some comfort...

But maybe that's just the "romantic sappy me" that wants to see a lot more Mark/Jackson (and since I know it won't ever be "more" than that, at least in a friendshippy way :P)... so yeah...

I wanna see Mark deal with the pain and at some point REALLY getting over it and starting to live again... With or without a new woman in his life, because I don't think Lexie would have wanted him to be unhappy for the rest of his life...

Personally I don't want him to die, but maybe that's an egoistic thought ;-)

I didn't know if I should
REALLY write a post but in the end I thought, whatever... and maybe some
of you might agree with me (or not), we'll see, but right now I have
my own thoughts about who's gonna die... and in MY opinion, it's
neither... Not Arizona, nor Lexie... Both would be too obvious at this
point (even though I have to agree with some comments in other entries
that it would be highly unrealistic for Lexie to survive, BUT when was GA
ever realistic?)...

And even though Ausiello said Mark is
safe, right now I kinda don't believe it anymore and I'm REALLY
worried...

I know Mark isn't very loved here by most of
the people, but I DO love him, and right now he's one of my 2
possible suspects to die... and I still think this "they renewed
their contracts" could be something to "trick" the fans
into believing that those people are safe while one of them isn't...
and so could Ausiello saying Mark is safe be a "trick"...

and it would be *SO* Shonda-like... she said it would be
shocking, she said she was afraid to do what she did because she feared
people's reactions and such... she said it would be someone
unexpected... people who watch GA most likely have at least seen one of
those Sneak Peeks and trailers floating around... which show especially
Arizona and Lexie badly hurt... the others seem quite okay, even
Derek...

I don't know if any of you ever watched Private
Practice, but there was this one season where they announced someone will
die in the finale... and that it will be someone we all love and care
about... then there was this trailer with Maya (Sam's daughter) and
the accident and pregnant Maya being BADLY hurt... and LOTS of people
were already "RIP Maya" and such and in the end she was a total
"bluff"... because the person that died was someone who seemed
perfectly fine... Dell... He was with her in the accident, but he
didn't even really get checked up, because he seemed okay... until he
wasn't anymore... while they were all sitting in the waiting room and
waiting for news about Maya he all of a sudden wasn't concious
anymore because he had a bleeding in his brain and when they operated on
him he died... and this episode will always be one of the most
heartbreaking ones for me... and this death was all but obvious...

And that's why I think, Shonda might do something similiar
with GA... we all think it's either Lexie or Arizona, but in the end
it's... and this is my first guess:

Mark
Because she
could do it similiar to the "Dell thing"... she makes us all
think he's perfectly fine, and he wouldn't say that
something's wrong with him when the love of his life is in a life
threatening situation, so he tries to "stay strong" and not say
a word while he "bleeds out internally" - while in truth
he's SO badly hurt (but on the inside), that he will collapse and die
at some point... maybe when they "miraculousely" got Lexie out
of that plane and "safe" (as far as someone can say) and when
she's safe he dies in her arms or anything like that...

And that would definitely have a HUGE impact on a lot of people,
because just like for example Richard (who is my guess Number 2, but
I'll get to that later), he has connected with LOTS of people this
Season and almost everyone knows/likes him or had at least some beef with
him... remember the scene in the OR with Bailey and Jackson and Mark
where he sent her out of his OR? Or the scene where he asked Kepner to
sleep with Avery?
Also: he's Derek's best friend for YEARS,
they went through a lot, so if he would die, it would affect Derek... and
of course Lexie, and because of those 2 it OF COURSE would also affect
Meredith... and I mean, there is Jackson... whose mentor he was almost
the whole Season... who became his friend, who even choose him over
Lexie, and they defintiely had some connection. Maybe I'm just
interpreting too much in their relationship (okay, I DO interpret to much
into them XD), but I'm pretty sure he would be devastated if Mark
would die...
But it would also open the possibility for him to
stay... as the new head of plastics... I'm sure Mark would have
wanted that... and he could stay in that case... work plastics in
Mark's honor...
(and just by the way, if Jackson would be
affected, most likely April would be too, as his best friend)...
And
yes, there is Sofia and Callie, who would definitely be affected by that
as well... and I think even Arizona (more than the other way round, as
sorry as I am that I have to say that...)

So yeah, I'm
really afraid that Mark might be the one that bites the dust and I would
hate that... I would seriously be heartbroken... but I have another
guess... and that would be

I keep asking myself
why they have to repeat this whole "he prepares dinner for the
residents" because it obviously isn't important to the
"whole storyline" at all, right? I mean, it feels SO out of the
context, especially with most of "those residents" fighting for
their lives and maybe some other drama going on in the hospital... which
lets me assume he is maybe alone there, preparing said dinner... how
absoultely awful would it be, if he was somewhere preparing the dinner
and having a heart attack, maybe dying alone? Or being found, rushed into
the hospital and dying there while April and the others fight for his
lives and also have the plane crash above their heads?
Maybe not
very likely, I don't know, but James renewing his contract could
still be a red herring... and maybe it's just wishful thinking, but
especially after last episode I was thinking once again, why they make
him bond to almost EVERYONE during this season? There gotta be a reason,
right? I mean, he helped Alex to get the best possible job offer and
such, and this season almost everyone is connected to him... a lot more
than in every other season... which makes it feel like they are planing
his "departure"... but of course I could be wrong...

And that's just MY thoughts... no one has to agree with me, and
even though those 2 SHOULD be safe, I am almost convinced again it's
one of those 2, because it would be shocking and unexpected and something
Shonda would do...

Grey's Anatomy Stars sign New Two-Year Deal

The doctors are in!

TVLine has confirmed that original Grey's Anatomy castmembers Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, James Pickens, Jr. and Chandra Wilson have all inked new two-year deals to continue with the ABC medical drama.

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes told TVLine in January that she was resolved to designing a fitting finale for Grey's current eighth season, despite not knowing which members of the original cast would and would not return next fall.

“[It] was the most complex puzzle I’ve had to put together — ever,” she shared. ”We have all these moveable pieces of who’s coming back and who’s not, and finally I just decided to focus on what was going to be best creatively [and] make it work regardless of what is happening [off screen].”

ABC has yet to formally order a ninth season of Grey’s; the network reveals its 2012-13 TV schedule next Tuesday.

This could be a red herring, right? Because if NOT, that means Richard and Derek are safe as well (not that I ever thought they would REALLY kill Derek), and who does this leave US?

There are only 5 possibilities anymore about who's gonna bite the dust...

Teddy... Owen... Callie... Arizona... Lexie...

And I actually DON'T see how - for example - Teddy's or Arizona's death (sorry) would have an impact at most of the collegues, because they mostly have 1 or 2 characters they are REALLY linked to, but everyone else? Sure, they would be sad if they would die, but I don't see the "big impact" if it's not Owen, Callie or Lexie...

I've heard rumors that there will be a plane crash and Mark could be involved and could get hurt badly, though... that would explain the "bittersweet" Shonda tends to use concerning Mark/Lexie and in THIS case (If that's true), there is NO way she will kill Lexie, right? It would be already bad enough if Mark got seriously injured and Lexie had to fight for his life...

Now I hope, it's Owen... he is the Chief after all, and that would leave a lot of possibilities...
(Although I somewhere read he will be IN the hospital alongside Teddy and April when "it" happens, but I can't seem to find the spoiler anymore)...

Yeah, that's me being REALLY worried now...
